Most automotive tubing protection now uses double-walled tubes for automotive tubing.

In the past, the brake system and fuel system of the car were often protected by the impact of the meteorite and the friction parts of the relevant parts. Generally, the rubber sheath or spring protection method was adopted, but the two methods were very ill.

Rubber sheath protection, because there is a gap of about 0.5mm between the rubber sheath and the oil pipe, the mud water can easily penetrate into the gap, and the muddy water that penetrates into the gap is not easy to dry, but the surface of the oil pipe is intensified. Corrosion, especially in the case of frequent spraying of salt water in the northern winter, makes this problem even more pronounced.

Although the spring protection can prevent the impact of the gravel, it can cause the friction of the spring on the surface of the oil pipe. Previously, the problem that the oil pipe was worn through has occurred. Now the tubing is made of organic coating (PVC, PVD, epoxy, etc.) and no protective springs are allowed at all.

Therefore, the above two types of oil pipe surface protection methods have long been eliminated.

In addition, some manufacturers use nylon 11 spiral tube for protection, but there are problems of high cost and complicated processing technology.
