ROHS certification standards for the thermal shrinkage industry

Time:2019/4/17 posted:Kehong Enterprises Co.,Ltd.

ROHS certification is an environmental certification, this test is mainly for electronic information products, so that it must not contain lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polymeric brominated biphenyl ether and polymeric brominated biphenyls and other toxic and harmful substances.

January 27, 2003, the EU Parliament and the Council of the European Union passed the 2002/95/EC Directive, "Directive on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment" (TheRestrictionoftheuseofCertainHazardousSubstancesinElectricalandElectronicEquipment), referred to as the RoHS directive. The basic content is that, with effect from July 1, 2006, six harmful substances, such as lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated high temperature heat shrinkable tubes (PBB) and polybrominated two benzene ether (PBDE), have been restricted from the use of new electronic and electrical equipment products on the market. After the release of the RoHS directive, it became a formal law within the EU from February 13, 2003; Before August 13, 2004, EU Member States converted the laws/regulations of the country of cost; and on February 13, 2005, the European Commission re-examined the scope of the directive and considered the factors for the development of new technologies, Preparation of an increase in the list of banned substances; After July 1, 2006, the EU market will formally ban the sale of products with excess content in six categories of substances.

Metallic materials need to test four kinds of harmful metal elements such as (Cd cadmium/Pb lead/Hg Mercury/Cr6+ hexavalent chromium)

In addition to inspecting these four harmful heavy metal elements, the plastic material also needs to be tested for brominated flame retardants (polybrominated biphenyls PBB/polybrominated ether PBDE)

At the same time, the packaging materials of different materials also need to be tested for heavy metals in packaging materials (94/62/EEC)

The following are the upper limit concentrations of six harmful objects in RoHS:

Cadmium: Less than 100ppm

Lead: Less than 1000ppm (steel alloy small and medium 2500ppm aluminum alloy Small to 4000ppm copper alloy small to 40000ppm)

Mercury: Less than 1000ppm

Hexavalent chromium: Less than 1000ppm

Polybrominated biphenyls PBB: Less than 1000ppm

Polybrominated PBD ether: less than 1000ppm

Products specifically covered by RoHS

RoHS Electrical and electronic products that may contain the above six hazardous substances in all production processes and in raw materials.

铅:小于1000ppm(钢合金中小于2500ppm铝合金中小于4000ppm铜合金中小于40000ppm)

Pre:Performance process Anatomy of PET thermal shrinkage tube
Next:Use of heat shrinkable pipe in power grid protection
